Terms of service

These terms govern use of the define:ag platform, operated by define:ag Limited:

Tenancies and accounts

• A tenancy is held by an advisory organisation, which administers its own users and decides which herds each user may see. Individual accounts are personal and must not be shared.
• Access requests from farm users are granted or declined by the organisation's administrators; define:ag Limited does not grant herd access on an organisation's behalf.

Billing

• Tenancy fees are charged monthly per animal under management, plus any premium packages selected, at the rates published on the pricing page at the time of billing.
• Payment is collected by Stripe under a subscription mandate authorised at enrolment. Tenancies are monthly with no minimum term; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.

Data

• Farm data belongs to the farm; tenancy data belongs to the tenancy. define:ag Limited processes it only to provide the service (see the privacy statement).
• Customer data is never used to train AI models and is exportable on request.

Acceptable use

You must not attempt to access herds outside your permissions, probe or disrupt the service, or misuse the AI features to generate unlawful content. We may suspend accounts that put other tenants' data at risk.

Service and liability

The service is provided with reasonable skill and care. Analytics and AI outputs support — but do not replace — professional veterinary and business judgement. To the extent permitted by law, liability is capped at the fees paid in the twelve months before the claim. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
